DUBOIS — The DuBois boys basketball team enjoyed a 15-0 run to start the second quarter of Monday’s game against visiting Punxsutawney to blow open a close game.

BROCKWAY — DuBois Central Catholic used a balanced scoring attack and a smothering defense, particularly in the first half, to run past host Brockway, 55-36, Monday night in the season opener for both teams.

DuBOIS — DMS scored seven runs over the first two innings before holding off a furious seventh-inning rally by Harley Davidson to secure a 9-7 victory to claim the DuBois Minor League Tournament title at Way Memorial Field Thursday.

DuBOIS — Lowe’s and LCPS duked it out in a good old-fashion pitchers’ duel Wednesday night in a DuBois Little League playoff semifinal game, and it was top-seeded Lowe’s that came away with a thrilling 2-1 victory thanks to Adam Drahushak’s walk-off double in the bottom of the sixth.

DuBOIS — S&T Bank was missing three of its main starters for Thursday night’s DuBois Little League playoff semifinal game against Service Clubs, but it was hard to tell as righty Grady Galiczynski tossed a one-hitter in a 7-1 victory at Way Memorial Field.

DuBOIS — A night after second-seeded Scotty’s Donuts was upset in the DuBois Minor League baseball playoffs, top-seeded DMS nearly suffered a similar fate Tuesday night but rallied several times to pull out a crazy 15-14, 8-inning win against Christ Lutheran Church.

BROOKVILLE — Leaving no doubt, the DuBois Rockets made it a sweep of the Brookville Grays in the Federation League championship series Wednesday night at McKinley Field.
