PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Elk County Catholic boys basketball team never really found a solution to Bishop Carroll’s full-court press, and it resulted in well over 20 turnovers in a 57-47 loss to the Huskies on Tuesday evening in the second round of the PIAA Class A Tournament at Punxsutawney High School.
While two of the three basketball teams left in the Tri-County area in the Elk County Catholic boys and the Brookville girls will tip off their second round games tonight, the Ridgway boys will play Wednesday.
DuBOIS — The DuBois Dream went to halftime down by just one point on Saturday evening against the Grand Rapids Danger, but the Danger outscored the Dream, 46-28, in the third quarter as DuBois fell to Grand Rapids, 144-115, at DuBois Central Catholic High School.
