DuBOIS — The DuBois Dream went to halftime down by just one point on Saturday evening against the Grand Rapids Danger, but the Danger outscored the Dream, 46-28, in the third quarter as DuBois fell to Grand Rapids, 144-115, at DuBois Central Catholic High School.
DuBois was led by Hasiin Dixon, who scored 36 points, including going 13-of-16 from the foul line. DeOndre Terrell poured in 30 points, including three three-pointers.
DuBois made 11 baskets from long distance in the game –three from Terrell and Albert Varacallo, four from Cory Callejas, and one from Dixon.
For Grand Rapids, Jamell Hatchett led the way with 34 points. Derrick Brooks scored 27 points off the bench, and Trent Hobson put in 20 points.
The Dream was able to raise over $2,500 dollars for the Free Medical Clinic and Hahne Regional Cancer Center at the non-profit game.
The DuBois Dream will be back in action next weekend with a pair of games. They will play at home on Saturday at 7 p.m. against Chautauqua before traveling to Jamestown on Sunday afternoon for a 3 p.m. tip.
