DuBOIS — The Penn State DuBois basketball teams managed a split against Penn State Fayette on Thursday evening.

The PSUD womens basketball team got back to their winning ways after dropping their last two in a 81-52 blowout win over Penn State Fayette on Thursday evening.

The men fell to Fayette, 113-80.

Melody Young and Morgan Silvis led DuBois with 12 points apiece in the big win, while Gracie Hamilton and Hope Bridge chipped in 11, and Kristen Williams put in 10, including two three-pointers.

PSU DuBois, which went up 45-29 at halftime after a big second quarter, got five three pointers on the night. Cierra O’Shell, Grace Earle and Hope Bridge also hit one apiece from long range.

Haley Moreland led Penn State Fayette with 18 points, while Kori Whitehead added 16.

The Penn State DuBois man are back in action on Saturday as they host Penn State New Kensington. The tip is set for 3 p.m.

The women are off until Tuesday when they visit Penn State Greater Allegheny at 6 p.m.
