NEW BETHLEHEM – While new to the in-town location, the owner of the soon-to-be-opened Wood Street Grill is not new to the restaurant business.
More than a year after opening Tuff’s Smokin’ Grill, Ray “Tuff” Shreckengost is gearing up for the opening of his latest restaurant in New Bethlehem.
Unlike his current barbecue restaurant in Hawthorn, Shreckengost explained that the Wood Street Grill will be a “more traditional-type” diner, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
“It will be a totally different world,” Shreckengost said of his new business endeavor, explaining that unlike Tuff’s where there is a “quick customer turn-around,” patrons of the Wood Street Grill will be treated to more of a “sit-down” experience — complete with side salads and dessert options.
