You know, there is just so much material to work with this time around that it’s hard to decide where to start. Jeannine Pirro would be as good a starting point as any. Not long ago she raised a question about Ilan Omar wearing a hijab, in compliance with Sharia law. The Left, of course, went totally bonkers over the whole thing. The issue, in Pirro’s mind, was whether or not Omar’s loyalty to Sharia would compromise her loyalty to the Constitution. Seems like a fair question to me, but it got Pirro into a lot of hot water.

Then we have Omar herself. Recently, she trivialized the 9/11 attacks as though they were little more than someone breaking a window. When she was criticized for this, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came immediately to her defense, going so far as to mock a veteran who lost an eye in combat. These things, of course, beg the question of how these clowns got elected to Congress. I think the answer is inescapable. It all boils down to free stuff. There are certain areas in America where all you have to do to win an election is to promise to keep the freebies coming. Ocasio-Cortez cost her district a lot of jobs, then bragged about it. Apparently, those who put her in office couldn’t care less about jobs. She and Omar are also free to express as much hatred for America as they wish. Just keep the freebies coming.

Sadly, this next item is rather embarrassing to me personally. I read where a group of Catholic priests in Poland have been burning Harry Potter books as somehow being evil. I have never seen a Harry Potter movie or read a Harry Potter book, but I can tell you this: Book burnings are always, and I do mean always, the height of stupidity and ignorance. I don’t care what the book is. It can be a Bible, a Koran or Mein Kampf. I am saddened that my church would participate in such a thing.

Here’s one that is rather macabre. As I’ve gotten old, I receive more and more mail from organizations asking me to include them in my will. They want to make sure that they still get my money after I’m dead! Gimme a break!

Everybody’s favorite victim, Jussie Smollett, is back in the news. It appears that he may be held to account for the costs of the investigation of his faked attack. This is great news. Maybe it will cause others with similar schemes in mind to stop and think a bit. This clown did a real disservice not just to taxpayers, but to real victims down the road. The fact that his criminal charges were dropped left a lot of us flabbergasted, but that seems to be the way things work these days.

The saga of Colorado cake baker Jack Phillips is still going on. Now, he’s being hassled for refusing to bake a cake celebrating someone’s transgender anniversary, on the grounds that it would be a violation of his Christian beliefs. It would appear that the LGBTQ bullies will never be satisfied until Phillips either gives in to their demands or goes out of business. Obviously, it’s nothing but pure revenge politics, as there are plenty of bakers who would bake the cake.

What about good old Joe Biden? It would seem as though his attitude toward women could stand some adjustment. I know that some of his defenders say that he is just one of those touchy and affectionate people. Come on. Get real. I have a number of female friends whom I have hugged at one time or other, with their consent, of course. However, I never nuzzled their necks or smelled their hair. Imagine what the outcry would be like if a prominent Republican did the same thing!
