This year 3.6 million American kids will graduate from high school and another 1.9 million from college. Every one of them has dreams. Every one wants a decent job with good pay. Now that President Trump has rescinded the illegal 2012 Obama DACA amnesty and work permits, they might get one.
In the past, over 720,000 American jobs were off limits to American kids and given to 25-year-old illegal aliens. Trump put an end to it — unless Congress betrays Americans with a new amnesty.
First, know President Obama admitted his action was illegal before he went ahead and did it anyway. This is Mr. Obama:
“With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed — and I know that everybody here at Bell is studying hard so you know that we’ve got three branches of government. Congress passes the law. The executive branch’s job is to enforce and implement those laws. And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws.”
“It’s a known fact that there are over 4 million unemployed Americans in the same age group as those that are DACA recipients,” Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders noted. So, 720,000 American jobs were stolen based upon an illegal act by Obama and guess who’s all for it?
Senator Bob Casey and Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
When told that President Trump was going to end the program, Casey said, on Labor Day no less, “I think he’s dead wrong if he does that. I hope he won’t,” and Shapiro joined a bogus lawsuit to keep DACA in place.
Why? Even the open borders Cato Institute admits if the illegal DACA policy is reversed, companies will have to begin “recruiting, hiring and training 720,000” Americans. What’s wrong with that?
It’s always said that the “Dreamers” didn’t do anything wrong; they were kids when their parents brought them here. Maybe, but the 720,000 young Americans whose jobs were taken by foreign citizens illegally imported by the Cartel didn’t do anything wrong either. Why do they get screwed?
Annually, the government issues roughly 200,000 three-year H-1B visas for foreign national professionals, 400,000 two-year permits to DACA illegals, 1 million Green Cards to legal immigrants and almost 3 million short-term work permits to foreign workers including 330,000 one-year Optional Practical Training permits for foreign graduates of U.S. colleges, where companies don’t even have to interview Americans and ... get tax breaks to hire foreigners.
And new grads wonder why they can’t get a decent job.
“The government is enticing employers to hire foreigners instead of Americans — it is ridiculous,” said the Center for Immigration Studies’ Mark Krikorian.
This deluge of foreign labor steals American jobs, drives down salaries for the remaining jobs held by Americans, makes home prices less affordable for young families and widens the wealth-gap. If Mr. Casey and his Cartel friends really cared about the wealth gap, they’d protect American jobs, not give them away.
We’re Americans, Senator Casey. There’s still plenty of 25-year-old Bob Caseys and Joe Lewis’ out there trying to raise a family. Maybe we owe them the same chance the 65-year-old Bob Caseys and Joe Lewis’ gave to us when we were 25, and maybe it’s worth being called names to do it.
As soon as the low-wage Cartel imported the illegal labor, it ensured someone would get hurt, either the foreign citizens or Americans. Should Americans suffer because the Cartel is willing to use foreign citizens as human shields?
Senator Casey has no problem asking that his job be protected via re-election, but seems to have a problem with Pennsylvanians asking him to protect their jobs. If Casey won’t protect our jobs, why should we protect his?
