The 2017 East Brady Riverfest has come and gone. The weather didn’t cooperate and it was a real trying year, but it all worked out in the end.
We would like to thank everyone that helped to make it work. We couldn’t have done it without the support of many people. Thank you to the East Brady Borough Council for letting us use the field and getting it ready for us. Thank you for the area newspapers for promoting Riverfest, they did such a good job. Thank you to Mike Hall and the firemen for taking care of the parade. Thank you Becky Smith and Moore Physical Therapy for doing the 5K. Thank you area residents for attending Riverfest and supporting our fundraisers before Riverfest and putting up with the disruption during the weekend. Thank you to all our vendors — you are so important to Riverfest. Thank you to Clarion County Chapter of ABATE for taking part in Riverfest and with your kids’ bike giveaway. Thank you Big Foot for making appearances in the heat. Thank you Bill Schaudt for taking part and donating the carved bear we gave away. I know I am forgetting someone, please forgive me if I forgot you; there were so many people that helped bring everything together.
We hope we can continue for a 33rd Riverfest. We will have a final wrap-up meeting and a reorganization meeting in a couple of weeks. We will see where we stand. Several people expressed interest in continuing next year, so please come to the meeting. It will be announced on Facebook when we are having it.
We appreciated all your help this year and we hope to see you in 2018.
