COOKSBURG – The Verna Leith Sawmill Theatre will host the Brookville Community Theater on Aug. 4-6 and again Aug. 10-12 for the classic children’s fairytale, “Peter Pan,” as it is performed live on stage.

Shows begin at 8 p.m. each night, except for the matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6.

In this original, Tony-Award-winning Broadway version, Peter Pan takes Wendy and her siblings to Neverland, where no one ever grows up. There, Peter is plagued by the pirate Captain Hook, who is, himself, plagued by the crocodile that bit off his hand. Will Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys escape Hook’s clutches? This is the perfect show for the child in all of us.

The following shows will finish out the 2017 season at the Sawmill Theatre:

• Leaving Iowa — Footlighters of Elk County, Aug. 17-19.

• Serenade on Broadway — Enchante Cabaret, Aug. 24-26.

• Arlene’s Beauty World — Clarion Community Theatre, Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, and Sept. 7-9.

All shows are $15 per seat. Tickets are available online at or by calling the theatre’s box office at (814) 927-5275.
