NEW BETHLEHEM – Heather Murray became the bride of Jonathan Smith at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, in New Bethlehem.

Parents of the bride are Timothy and Susan Murray of Rimersburg.

The bridegroom is the son of Rick and Donna Smith of DuBois.

The Rev. John Phillips of the First Church of God in New Bethlehem officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Cami Bowser presented musical selections.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Nicole Murray of Rimersburg, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Sarah Johnston of Rimersburg, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Holly Murray, Katie Smith, Kirstie Priester, Andrea Shuster, Steph Sorrell, Kelsey George, Kirsten Campbell and Brittany Gauger.

Hadley Johnston of Rimersburg served as flower girl.

Ring bearer for the couple was Grayson Campbell of Sligo.

Wayne Kline of Reynoldsville, friend of the groom, was best man.

Ushers were Brandon Johnston, Brian Williams, Brandon Taylor, Brandon McClintock, Dillon Dixon, Tyler Pearce, Shane Campbell, Brent Shuster and Billy DeLong.

A reception was held at Trinity Hall in Fairmount City following the ceremony.

The bride is a 2009 Union High School graduate. She graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/special education and a master’s degree in special education. She is employed as an elementary teacher at Sligo Elementary School.

The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of DuBois High School. He is a security officer for Treasure Lake and a deputy with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He plans to attend the police academy at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, the couple reside in Brookville.
