FRILLS CORNERS — The Redbank Valley Bulldogs basketball team ran into a North Clarion buzz-saw Tuesday night as the Wolves notched a 67-27 win.
North Clarion, which improved to 12-2, led 40-21 at halftime, but routed the Bulldogs in the second half with a 27-6 margin to set the final score.
The Wolves put three players in double figures with Nathan Banner, Sam Minich and Zander Hargenrader scoring 16, 15 and 11 points respectively.
For the Bulldogs (3-11), Keaton Kahle was the lone player in double figures with 11 points. Nick Smith, Logan Wadding and Brock Barrett each scored four points.
The Bulldogs travel to Karns City Friday before hosting Brookville in a non-league game next Monday. They host Union next Wednesday.

At Seneca, the host Berries outgunned the Knights after Union rallied back to tie the game at 45-45 to start the fourth quarter.
Lucas Bowser scored 30 points, 18 in the first half, and collected seven rebounds to lead the Knights (5-10), who have lost seven of their last eight games.
Nolan Cumberland and Hunter Johnston added nine and eight points respectively.
For Cranberry, Dan McQuaide scored 24 points.
The Knights start a stretch of six games at home over their final seven to close the regular season on Friday at home against Moniteau. They host Forest Monday.

At New Bethlehem, the Lions routed the Bulldogs as they put up 45 points in the first half and led 45-25 at the break.
Logan Wadding scored 10 points to lead the Bulldogs with Nick Smith, Brock Barrett and Tanner Kerle each scored eight points.
Ian Callen had a huge game, finishing with a quadruple-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds, 11 steals and 11 assists. Christian Smith had 19 points and Hayden Callen added 14 points and nine boards.
FRIDAY, Jan. 19
Redbank Valley 63,
At New Bethlehem, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 37-27 halftime lead and took an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter in their win over the visiting Berries.
The Bulldogs put three players in double figures. Keaton Kahle led the way with 18 points, Logan Wadding scored 14 points and Nick Smith scored 12 of his 13 points on four first-half 3-pointers.
Dan McQuaide led the Berries with 24 points, 16 coming in the first half.
At Rimersburg, visiting Clarion outscored the host Knights 32-15 in the second half to pull away with the win.
The Bobcats, who led 37-28 at halftime, were led by Austin Hummell’s 22 points. Cam Craig added 17 points and Archer Mills finished with 11.
Lucas Bowser led the Knights with nine points and seven rebounds. Reice Saylor had eight points and eight rebounds. Kylar Culbertson added eight points.
WEDNESDAY, Jan. 17
Redbank Valley 36
At Clarion, the host Bobcats ran past the visiting Bulldogs as Cam Craig and Austin Hummell led the way.
Craig scored 27 points with four 3-pointers and Hummell had 23 points as the Bobcats built a 34-15 lead at halftime, then outscored the Bulldogs 40-21 in the second half.
Logan Wadding led the Bulldogs with eight points. Keaton Kahle scored seven points.
Catholic 68, Union 57
At Oil City, the Knights lost to the Vikings despite Lucas Bowser’s 27 points and 11 rebounds.
The Vikings got a career-high 30 points from Josh Puleo while Ben Gillispie and Andrew Burda each scored 14 points.
After a 29-29 halftime tie, Venango Catholic outscored the Knights 39-28 the rest of the way to get the win.
