NEW BETHLEHEM — The Redbank Valley junior high girls’ basketball teams swept a doubleheader from visiting Karns City Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs won the A game, 37-16, as Caylen Rearick scored 11 points and Alivia Huffman added nine points. They won the B game as well, 25-2, as Gweneth Wadding scored 10 points.
Both teams — A squad 8-0, B squad 4-3 — were scheduled to host Forest Area Wednesday before hosting Clarion next Monday.

SATURDAY, Nov. 3
Hosting its own 10-team junior high tournament, the Lady Bulldogs’ eighth-graders finished 5-0 and won the title, topping Indiana in the finals.
In the 42-35 title game win, Alivia Huffman and Caylen Rearick led the way with 27 and 13 points respectively. The Lady Bulldogs had lost to Indiana in its tournament, 37-36, two weeks ago.
Earlier, the Lady Bulldogs beat DuBois Central Catholic 29-15. McKayla McGuire had 10 points with Huffman and Rearick scoring eight and six points. Against Nittany Valley, they won 39-32 with Huffman scoring 15 points and Alyssa Bowser finishing with nine points. The Lady Bulldogs beat Indiana’s seventh-grade team, 44-26 with Rearick and Bowser scoring 22 and 14 points apiece.
In the opening game against Clarion-Limestone, the Lady Bulldogs won 46-14 as Rearick and Huffman scored 12 and 10 points, and Ember Hetrick added six points.
THURSDAY, Nov. 1
split with Moniteau
At West Sunbury, the Lady Bulldogs won the A game 39-24 as Alivia Huffman and Caylen Rearick scored 11 and 10 points respectively. Moniteau won the B game, 31-14. Gweneth Wadding and Lilly Barnett each scored four points.
TUESDAY, Oct. 30
At home against Keystone, both teams won as the Lady Bulldogs won the A game, 49-12. Alivia Huffman and Caylen Rearick scored 20 and 14 points respectively while Ember Hetrick added six points and Brooklyn Edmonds finished with five. The B squad won, 21-14. Lilly Barnett scored nine points and Emma Kemmer added five points.
FRIDAY, Oct. 26
At Foxburg in just one game, the Lady Bulldogs won the A game, 49-5. Alivia Huffman and Caylen Rearick scored 13 and 11 points respectively while Paytin Polka scored seven points.
