NEW BETHLEHEM — Both Redbank Valley track and field teams notched wins against visiting Cranberry Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-1 with an easy 120-30 win while the Bulldogs hiked their record to 4-2 with an 88-61 win over the Berries.
Both teams are now off until next Wednesday’s meet at North Clarion.
The Lady Bulldogs were unopposed in two of the three relays and won 15 of the 18 events against the short-handed Berries.
Paiton Rizzo, Mariah Clark and Carley Shick tripled with wins. The two combined with Taylor King and Elisabeth Hook to win the 4x100-meter relay with district time of 54.92 seconds. Rizzo also won the 100 hurdles (17.15) with a district time and the long jump (15 feet, 5 inches). Clark won the 100 dash (13.92) and 200 dash (29.05).
Shick also won the 400 dash (1:05.09) and ran with Lauren Smith, Kate Davis and Ryleigh Smathers on the 4x400 (5:31.1) relay, and Smathers, Quinn Fricko and Emma Huffman on the winning 4x800 (11:11.14) relay that ran a qualifying time.
Also on the track, Megan Gourley won the 300 hurdles (1:05.09). Frick ran a district-qualifying time in her third-place finish in the 3,200.
Lindsay Evans doubled in the discus (104 feet, 4 inches) with a qualifying throw and shot put (30 feet, 6 inches) while Frankie Dinger won the javelin (105 feet, 11 inches) with a district-qualifying throw.
Mackenzie Young cleared 7 feet, 6 inches to win the pole vault while Brooke Eberle cleared 4 feet, 6 inches to win the high jump.
Keaton Kahle tripled for the Bulldogs, winning the 100 (11.56) and 200 (24.0) dashes while running a leg on the winning 4x100 relay (D9 qualifying time of 46.26) with Javin Brentzel, Joe Mansfield and Sam Hetrick. Mansfield qualified for districts in the triple jump, jumping a qualifying distance of 40 feet, 1 inch to finish second.
Hetrick cleared 6 feet, 2 inches to win the high jump.
The Bulldogs also won the 4x800 relay (9:35.55) with Kyle Watkins, Owen Fricko, Jacob Faulk and Nick Smith.
In the throws, the Bulldogs swept the discus and javelin with Anthony Baileys winning the discus (135 feet, 5 inches) with a qualifying through followed by Cameron Peebles and Tanner Kerle. In the shot put, Kerle won with a toss of 39 feet, 5 inches followed by Kahle and Baileys.
Austin Rupp won the javelin (132 feet, 7 inches) while Trenten Rupp won the pole vault (9 feet).

Redbank Valley sweeps at Clarion
At Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium, both Redbank Valley squads swept to wins over host Clarion. The girls won 103-47 while the boys topped the Bobcats 85-65.
The Lady Bulldogs won 103-47, using a balanced performance that led to 12 wins over the 18 events.
All three relays ran to wins — the 4x100 relay (11:18.9) of Taylor King, Paiton Rizzo, Claire Clouse and Elisabeth Hook, the 4x400 relay (55.3) of Kate Davis, Clouse, Ryleigh Smathers and Carley Shick, and the 4x800 relay (4:40.8) of Quinn Fricko, Emma Huffman, Smathers and Shick.
Megan Gourley doubled in the 100 hurdles (19.0) and 300 hurdles (56.94) while Lindsay Evans won the shot put (29 feet, 10 1/2 inches) and finished second in a discus sweep led by King with Chloe Wiant finishing third.
Shick won the 400 dash (1:05.4), Huffman won the 800 run (3:03.4), Davis took the 200 dash (29.9) and Fricko won the 3,200 (13:53.12).
For the Bulldogs, Keaton Kahle and Sam Hetrick tripled. The two combined with Javin Brentzel and Joe Mansfield to win the 4x100 relay (46.93). Kahle also won the 100 (11.7) and 200 (25.1) dashes. Hetrick won the high jump (6 feet) and triple jump (40 feet, 10 inches) while finishing second to Kahle in the 100 dash.
Brandin Dull doubled for the Bulldogs in the hurdles, winning the 110s (19.2) and 300s (46.1) while finishing second in the 200 dash. Austin Rupp won twice in the javelin (120 feet, 11 inches) and pole vault (8 feet).
Anthony Baileys won the discus (119 feet, 5 inches).
