PITTSBURGH — Kathryn Demetriadis, of Cranberry Township, and Ethan Swope, of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage July 15, 2017, at Old Economy Village in Ambridge, Pa., by Pastor Dan Smail.
She is the daughter of Eileen Demetriadis and James Chesney, of Cranberry Township. He is the son of Gary and LouAnn Swope of Luthersburg.
The bride chose Allyson Demetriadis, of Cranberry Township, as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids included: Lucy Giegel, of Pittsburgh; Ashley Clark, of Halethorpe, Md.; and Dulcie Hanzely, of DuBois.
AJ Milanak, of Ocean City, Md., performed the duties of best man.
Groomsmen included: Robert Swope, of DuBois; George Clark, of Halethorpe, Md.; and William Hanzely, of DuBois.
A reception was held at The Fez (Hopewell Township).
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Mars High School; a 2011 graduate of Gannon University, with a bachelor’s degree in secondary social studies; and a 2015 graduate of Slippery Rock University, with a master’s degree in secondary special education. She is employed as a high school social studies teacher with Pittsburgh Public Schools.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of DuBois Area High School; a 2012 graduate of Gannon University, with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in business administration. He works with PPG in Allison Park, Pa.
Following a honeymoon trip to Emerald Bay Sandals, Bahamas, the couple reside in Pittsburgh.
