HEREFORD — Kathryn Plyler and Jake Bykerk of Hereford, Pa., were united in marriage June 9, 2018, by Msgr. Richard Siefer in St. Catherine of Siena Church, DuBois.
She is the daughter of Jim and Janet Plyler of DuBois. He is the son of Roger and Charlene Bykerk of Wheatfield, Ind.
The bride chose Kristin Flaim of Emmaus, Pa., as her matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included: Tracy Jeffries, of Crown Point, Ind.; Jill Hoeppner of Leo, Ind.; Jamie Plyler, of New Castle, Pa.; Jessica Kirk of Pittstown, N.J.; Kelsea Green of DuBois, Pa.; and Lori Vetrano of New York, N.Y.
Randy Ivanov of Indianapolis, Ind., performed the duties of best man.
Ushers included Alex Hoeppner of Leo, Ind., and Cole Jeffries of Crown Point, Ind.
Ring bearer was JJ Plyler of NewCastle, Pa.
Groomsmen included: Chad Jeffries of Crown Point, Ind.; Jason Hoeppner of Leo, Ind.; James Plyler of New Castle, Pa.; Nick Koedyker of Walnutport, Pa.; and Anthony Flaim of Emmaus, Pa.
A reception was held at Corbinview Farms.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of DuBois Central Catholic High School and a 2013 graduate of Bloomsburg University with a B.S.B.A in information and technology management and a minor in marketing. She is employed by Alphanumeric Systems Inc. as a service manager at GlaxoSmithKline in Collegeville.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Ind. He attended Purdue University to study movement and sport science. He is employed by the City of Allentown as a firefighter and by the United States Coast Guard as an E-6 Petty Officer 1st Class reservist after serving as an active member of the USCG for 6 years.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon traveling the western Mediterranean: Spain, France, Italy, Montenegro and Croatia.
