Job Shadowing

DuBois Area High School juniors Isaac Quairiere and Amanda August job shadow realtor Carol Foltz of Developac on Friday.

DuBOIS — DuBois Area High School held its 13th annual Job Shadowing Day last week.

Students were encouraged to participate in this opportunity to expand their education outside the walls of the high school by having an on-the-job experience of a career of their choice, counselor David Volpe said.

“Students were responsible for contacting a business/organization and making the necessary arrangements to participate in this school/community project,” Volpe said. “The local businesses and organizations are very receptive to sponsor our students.”

Job shadowing is a requirement for the DAHS Graduation Project. Students must complete one job shadow in the ninth or 10th grade and one in the 11th or 12th grade.
