Peggy Susan Waltman, 62, Brookville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at home.
Born April 4, 1949, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Mildred Marthena Neufer LaForme and James Franklin LaForme and wife Shirley of Montgomery, Pa.
On Aug. 10, 1968, she married Stephen Dale Waltman. He survives.
Peggy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brookville.
She loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a former member of the American Shitzu Club where she enjoyed showing dogs for over 12 years, and was also involved in Shitzu rescue.
She also enjoyed reading and traveling.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Jill Marie) Brown of Auburn, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Jayden Brown; four brothers: David (Christine) LaForme of York Haven, Terry (Lisa) LaForme of Port Trevorton, Alan (Shelley) LaForme of Muncy, and Scott (Judy) LaForme; and one sister, Mrs. Richard (Pamela) Miller of Montgomery.
There will be no viewing. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Muncy. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Don Edwards. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Brookville. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Bob McKay.
