Sarah Bauer and Ryan Lightner of Charlottesville, Va., were united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2018, in Staunton, Va.
She is the daughter of Perry and Sue Bauer of DuBois, Pa. He is the son of Lance and Crystal Lightner of Lebanon, Pa.
The bride chose her friend, Derise Anderson of Frederick, Md., as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Carmen Bauer, sister-in-law of the bride, of South Williamsport, Pa.; Kelsey Bauer, sister-in-law of the bride, of Philadelphia, Pa.; Morgan Boyce, friend of the bride, of Ithaca, N.Y.; and Kylee Joyce, friend of the bride, of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The groom chose his brothers, Matt and Mike Lightner, as best men. Matt is from Myerstown, Pa., and Mike is from Philadelphia, Pa.
Ring bearer was Hank Bauer, nephew of the bride, of South Williamsport, PA.
Groomsmen included Ben Sasran, friend of the groom, of Lancaster, Pa.; Jeremy Frey, friend of the groom, Doylestown, Pa.; and Todd Mounce, friend of the groom, of Charlottesville, Va.
A reception was held at the American Hotel Banquet Hall in Staunton, Va.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Central Catholic High School and 2012 graduate of California University of PA with a BS degree in elementary and special education. She is employed as a behavior base teacher at Agnor-Hurt Elementary School in Charlottesville, Va.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Lebanon High School and 2011 graduate of Bloomsburg University of PA with a BA in communication studies with a minor in political science. He is employed as an associate Director of Development at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital.
The couple enjoyed a delayed honeymoon at the Nascar finals in Homewood, Fla., and the Florida Keys.
